Congratulations!
OMG you’re getting married! Seriously, congratulations, that’s awesome. Whether its a secluded ceremony with just you and your witnesses, or a big party with all your friends, it’ll be a day you’ll remember always.
And when you look back, your wedding album should allow you to relive the of the biggest day of your life, and I want to see all the little details, smiles and laughs that made it special.
As a wedding photographer, I see my role as capturing the entire story of your day; from that first glass of champagne as your stylist sets up to that last dance before the band packs up.
Working as inconspicuously as I can, close up and with smaller cameras, I’ll be just another friend at the party. No forced moments, no stiff poses, just your day, as it unfolds, from the eyes of a guest.
What to expect
Countdown commenced
Before you make any decisions we’ll catch up in person to discuss your plans. If we’re a match, I’ll keep in touch as you plan for your big day, and be there to answer any questions, help out with the running sheet, and scout out locations.
The big day arrives
On the day I’ll show up bright and early (or around the time your HMUA is scheduled). Depending where you’re set up I’ll move between both sides of the bridal party, but I’ll be by your side until the party has died down.
After the party
Delivery time will vary with my schedule, but I pride myself on fast turnaround. If requested I can provide a couple of images for you to send out with your thank-you’s, but the entire set of images will be provided on USB within weeks.
What are your plans?
All my weddings are custom packages, so to provide you with a quote I’ll need more information about your plans. Pricing is primarily determined by the size of your event — the larger the party, the longer the reception, the more time, pictures and editing required.
Here are some example estimates to provide you some idea what to expect.

FAQs

Well yes, but I’d really recommend against it. Your bridesmaids will instagram your morning, Uncle Bob will ignore the celebrant and take out his dusty DSLR during the ceremony and your friends will take plenty of selfies during the reception, but only the photographer will give you a cohesive story of the entire day. If I miss any part of it, there’ll be gaps when you look back, and I’ll feel like I haven’t fulfilled my goal.

Technically yes, but unfortunately I cannot shoot video and stills at the same time. If required I can record key moments such as speeches, and will happily work alongside another videographer, but my focus is on capturing stills.

It varies, but typically 300-400. When I do my selection I do make an effort to include as many of your guests as possible, but ultimately I wlll take a lot more photos than anyone actually needs, and I’d need to charge more if I edited and delivered more.
I usually edit for both colour and black and white, and will provide both at hi-res for print, and lo-res for sharing online.

Most venues will offer a discount staff meal, else let me know if I need to make other arrangements. It’s a long day on my feet and mealtime is the only break I get (nobody likes to be photographed while eating anyway). I have no dietary requirements.
Your one true love photographer
Or at least, if you’ve made it this far, it’s probably worth having a chat?
You never know; there could be wedding bells in our future.
